The Master's Message
January/February/March 2010
Brethren, once again, it is my will and pleasure to serve as Worshipful Master of Community Lodge for the coming year. As Past Master, Ray McMahon, said in a recent Trestleboard, I am also pleased to say that our new Line Officers are coming from a younger group. In the “old days”, we were required to return Degree Exams in the Long-form. In recent years, the Exams have been shortened, if not eliminated altogether (One day class). Our most recent additions to the Line: Senior Deacon, Br Doug Gustafson; Junior Warden, Br Buddy Hummler; and Junior Steward, Br Andrew Miglietti; returned flawless Full-form Examinations of their own free will and accord. (More on this subject in our next Trestleboard!) Judging from their performances, our ritual will be in good hands in the coming years. We have waited patiently for several years for this development. I am also pleased to point out that there are only two Past Masters serving in our line this year. Myself as Master and WB John Clark as Tyler.
Those who know WB Clark know how well he can direct the floor work during the MM degree. As our Inspection is in that Degree this year, I have no doubt we will have the quality Inspection that Community Lodge was known for in the past.
Our Secretary WB Carl Long has worked long and hard to save and stabilize our membership. I thank him for his successful efforts. I would like to take this opportunity to thank WB Ray McMahon for his work as Master last year. His management of the day-to-day operations of the Lodge enabled us to achieve the Grand Masters award for Excellence. Brethren, you have every right to be proud of being a Community Lodge Member.
